The IT Party Wear This Season | Very Liverpool Blogger Event

Wednesday, 7 December 2016

Hustle, bustle, hurry!
Tis the season to be merry,
sparkling and in the spotlight.

What better way to kick off the winter party season than a trip to Very headquarters to check out their perfectly hand-picked party pieces as an exclusive blogger sneak peek! Not only do they have catwalk-ready pieces, but they also cater to dance floor staples and are all ready to view and buy, at your fingertips.

I adored their clean and yet sparkly event decor, just enough glamour without over powering the main focus - which is of course is the fabulous clothes! As I took a leisurely stroll around the show room there were a few party-wear essentials which really spoke to me. First up, the beautiful sequin and metallic dresses showcased in the middle of the room would be a sure show-stopper for any Christmas night outs.

Next we had a classic take on the LBD's, just because it's black doesn't mean it has to be basic ;) I loved the detailing in particular with these two dresses as they exude sophistication and glamour. I can envisage this with a matte red lip, accompanied with a strong cat-eye and your ready to hit the dance floor...

What outfit is complete without accessories! There were a stunning array of accessories and shoes - the ones that immediately caught my eye were the cutest glitter bag (which has the perfect amount of room to fit your night on the town essentials) and of course, these black and glitter heels. I mean just look at them - velvet and glitter are a perfect pairing of rich and bold!

There was also a NYX stand where you could have a little makeover from their talented MUA's and after falling in love with their copper glitters and eyeshadows - I went on a mission at lunch to have it for my own makeup collection.

Thank you to the sweet ladies at Very for my gorgeous time at your HQ! Also for everyone reading - I hope you all eat, drink & be very merry over the coming weeks!

I'd love to know, how are you getting your sparkle-on this xmas?!

Love, Pingkan x

  3. Light is a primary theme of St. Lucia Day, as her name, which comes from the Latin term lux, means light. Her feast day is celebrated nearby the shortest day of the entire year, when the sun's light again commences to reinforce. Lucia resided in Syracuse through the fourth hundred years when persecution of Christians was common. However, almost all of her history has been lost over time. According to 1 common star, Lucia lost her eye while being tortured by way of a Diocletian on her behalf Christian values. Others say she may have plucked her own sight out to protest the indegent treatment of Christians. Lucia is the patron saint of the blind.
The story of Santa Claus can be tracked back more than 100 years to a monk called St. Nicholas. It really is assumed that Nicholas was created sometime around 280 A.D. in Patara, near Myra in modern-day Turkey. Much respected for his piety and kindness, St. Nicholas became the main topic of many legends. It is stated that he provided away most of his inherited prosperity and journeyed the countryside assisting the indegent and sick. One of the better known of the St. Nicholas tales is the fact that he preserved three poor sisters from for sale into slavery or prostitution by their daddy by giving them with a dowry in order that they could be wedded. During the period of a long time, Nicholas's popularity get spread around and he became known as the protector of children and sailors. His feast day is celebrated on the wedding anniversary of his loss of life, December 6. This is customarily considered a blessed day to make large acquisitions or even to get married. With the Renaissance, St. Nicholas was typically the most popular saint in European countries. Even following the Protestant Reformation, when the veneration of saints started out to be discouraged, St. Nicholas managed a good reputation, especially in Holland.
