Jamie’s Italian Liverpool One | Super Lunch Menu Review
I recently had the wonderful opportunity to review the Super Lunch Menu at Jamie’s Italian* in Liverpool One. Since it was to review a lunch menu I invited some of the lovely ladies that I work with to taste some delicious Jamie treats! I really like the whole vibe of Jamie’s Italian, from the interiors to the graphics used throughout the restaurant. It has been a restaurant I have wanted to try for a long time, ever since its opening in Liverpool One!
For starters we all pretty much had the Fritto Misso which is described as a ‘Crispy fried sustainable fish & squid tossed in fennel-spiced flour with garlic & lemon aioli’. Now doesn’t that sound mouth-watering? I am a massive fan of anything crispy and seafood related and this definitely did not disappoint. It had the most amazing smell and crisp finish and is not your typical fried calamari taste too; it must have been the fennel-spiced flour batter that gives it that something extra. It was also presented in abundance which is always a great thing!
Now for mains I had the Gennaro’s Chicken Club which is described as a ‘Brioche stuffed with chargrilled, marinated free-range chicken, crispy pancetta, spicy ‘nduja mayo, dontal cheese, tomato & rocket’ with a side of ‘Funky Chips’ now as the name suggest these chips had that extra touch which in this case was a garlic infusion! For any garlic lovers out there, you really do need to try these chips out, they were so deliciously soft on the inside and crispy on the outside 🙂 I’ve got a lot of time for this chicken club, I really enjoyed the spicy-mayo sauce and how it added another mouthwatering layer of goodness to the already succulent burger! Part of me still wishes I had that as an extra condiment to dip my fries with… The regret is real!
As for my other colleagues choices, they went for the Italian Steak & Fries which is described as a ‘Flash-grilled prime beef steak with herby heirloom tomato salsa, rocket, aged Parmesan & Spice Fries’ and also the Tagliatelle Bolognese Vegetarian option which is described as ‘A classic bolognese recipe, slow cooked & served with herby breadcrumbs & fresh Parmesan’. If I didn’t choose the chicken club I definitely would have gone for either of these!
Overall I had a super awesome time, chinwagging with my new colleagues and trying out the delicous super lunch menu that Jamie’s Italian offers! I think that considering you get a lunch for £10.95 for two most outstanding courses or £12.95 for three courses you really do get a bang for your buck!
Have you tried dining at Jamie’s Italian before? Send me your links in the comments below, I would to have a peep!
