Veeno Liverpool Branch Opening

Wednesday, 23 September 2015

Last month I was kindly invited to the grand opening of a new Italian-wine cafe named Veeno in Liverpool!
First thing I thought of, bring the girls! Francesca (fivemoreminutesxo) & Kariza graciously accepted my invitation; as it fell on a non-weekend our original plan was to just have one drink and scope out the new cafe... However, as soon as we went in I was refreshed and surprised at how quaint and quirky the atmosphere inside, and ended up staying till over 1am! I know, 1am on a school night. That's a pretty big deal right?

The whole evening we had plates of charcuterie type appetisers passed around, from a tasteful selection of cheeses to the classic accompaniment - parma ham. They were all very rich in flavour, delightfully reminding me of  the taste and true italian feel during my short time traveling around Sicily in the summer.

We had a fascinating conversation with the manager and several other workers, in which they explained to us that Veeno stems from a family-run business who pride themselves on selling only the very best of classic Sicilian wine straight from their own vineyards.

My favourite wine from the evening was definitely the Chardonnay, it had the most delicious aromatic notes of fruitiness with a smooth and elegant taste which just made it so easy to consume. Winner.

I do love the fact you can soak in a charmingly authentic Sicilian experience the moment you walk into the cafe; from the staff; to the actual product itself. Definitely check Veeno out when your around Liverpool; a perfect date night / evening with the girls place with some delicious food, service and most importantly Sicilian wine.

Easily Suede | The Skirt Of The Season

Hat: Forever 21 | Top, Jacket & Backpack: Primark | Skirt: Rare London | Shoes: Dune London

This Autumn / Winter it's all about the 70s, an eclectic mix of neutral palettes to warm rusts, suede and bell sleeves.
I think my most favourite silhouette of the 70s is the A-line, there stands something so very sophisticated and flattering that it exudes that classic retro luxury feel. Very much like this skirt from Rare London, I love not only the way it fits but also how soft mmm so soft and easy it is to style. On this occasion I simply styled it with a crop top and a sleeveless jacket and bam i'm pretty much good to go!
I bought these sunglasses from a car boot sale whilst I was in Uni for a mere £1 ^^
The seller actually sold it to me as his 'vintage playboy aviators from the 70s'. Groovy baby, i'll take it.

Are you a fan of the 70s trend? Let me know what you think!
